About Yitzi Katz
Yitzi Katz, AM, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in Child and Adult Psychotherapy serving individuals and families.
Yitzi received his Master’s degree and clinical training at the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration. Yitzi is a graduate of the Chicago Center of Psychoanalysis Fellowship and training program in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. Yitzi integrates his training at the Medical University of South Carolina in Trauma-Focused-CBT (TFCBT), trauma modality of Somatic Experiencing (SE) and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention with Children (TCI).

Yitzi specializes in treating children, young adults and survivors of trauma.

Professional Experience
Yitzi has gained extensive clinical experience in diverse settings including: Outpatient Psychiatry at Advocate Illinois Masonic, The Rice Child & Family Center, Northshore Evanston Hospital, The Child Protection Association in Israel and Hadassah Medical Center.
Yitzi co-founded the Chicago Trauma Collective serving a diverse community of trauma oriented practitioners through community events and a year-long fellowship program. Yitzi was an Associate Faculty Member at the Chicago Center for Psychoanalysis and a committee member on their Certificate program in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. Yitzi is a Faculty Member at the China American Psychoanalytic Alliance where he trains and teaches psychotherapists. Yitzi has written and lectured on clinical work in the community and in clinics, and has lectured at the University of Chicago, the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Magid Institute at the Hebrew University, and the Kedzie Center.
